Pack the 10th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. Pack the 12th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Korean Folk Village. And it doesn't end there: take an in-depth tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, contemplate the long history of Deoksugung, tour the pleasant surroundings at Changdeokgung Palace, and wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village.

Daegu — 2 nights

Start off your visit on the 9th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Donghwasa, delve into the lush surroundings at Daegu Arboretum, and then stroll around Apsan Park. On the 10th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll around Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, browse the eclectic array of goods at Seomun Market, then find something for the whole family at E-World, and finally make a trip to Kim Gwangseok Street.

You can take a train from Daejeon to Daegu in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Daejeon in October, plan for somewhat warmer days in Daegu, with highs around 25°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Busan.
