Pearl of the Danube
You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site. You'll explore and learn at House of Terror Museum and Memento Park. Head to Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria) and Andrassy Avenuefor plenty of shopping. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Budapest: Gyomroi Tofurdo (in Gyomro), Tata (Old Lake Golf Club, Fenyes Education Trail of Tata, &more) and Prehistoric Man Exhibition (in Vertesszolos). On the 23rd (Tue), spend a day of historical exploration at Pannonhalma Archabbey. Next up on the itinerary: laugh and play at Palatinus Strandfürdő, contemplate the long history of Heroes' Square, take in the spiritual surroundings of Matthias Church, and pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).
For maps, where to stay, photos, and more tourist information, refer to the Budapest trip itinerary planning website.
In July, daily temperatures in Budapest can reach 33°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. You'll have a few hours on the 31st (Wed) to wrap things up before traveling home.

Hungary travel guide
Breadbasket of Europe
Because tourism throughout the whole country is not as popular as in other European countries, much of the natural beauty of Hungary has not been developed or exploited. Visitors today are drawn to the unspoiled picturesque landscape, the capital metropolis surrounded by charming small towns and villages, and the plethora of thermal baths. The country's number of well-preserved archaeological ruins, castles, cathedrals, and medieval towns provide opportunities to those wanting a taste of European history. With the opportunity to explore both time-worn architecture and notable natural surroundings in every region, Hungary provides sightseeing opportunities with the amenities of traditional tourist destinations.
