Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Dokumentationszentrum Reichsparteitagsgelände and Alte Pinakothek. Get outdoors at Partnachklamm and English Garden. Get out of town with these interesting Munich side-trips: Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site (in Dachau), Herreninsel (Herrenchiemsee New Palace & Pfarrkirche St. Maria) and Schloss Linderhof (in Ettal).
