A major transportation hub, Omaha was once considered little more than a stopping point on a pioneer's journey west.

Venture out of the city with trips to Lincoln (Memorial Stadium, Museum of American Speed, &more), Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art (in David City) and Ashland (Quarry Oaks Golf Club, Cellar 426 Winery, &more). Spend the 18th (Sat) exploring nature at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park.
