Birmingham to Athens is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also drive. In June in Athens, expect temperatures between 89°F during the day and 67°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Mon) early enough to drive to Orange Beach.

Change things up with a short trip to Fort Morgan Historic Site in Fort Morgan (about 40 minutes away).
