Kyoto — 3 nights

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (in Osaka) and Dotombori District (in Dotombori). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sanjusangendo Temple, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, and don't miss a visit to Heian Shrine.

Singapore, Singapore to Kyoto is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Kyoto. Traveling from Singapore in April, expect Kyoto to be cooler, temps between 22°C and 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Mon) to allow enough time to fly to Tokyo.

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
On the 25th (Tue), take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, then admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Tokyo Tower. On the 26th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll around Ueno Park and then make a trip to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings.
