6 days in Kakheti Region Itinerary

Kvareli is a town in northeastern in Kakheti Province, Georgia. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Chelti Winery and Kote Marjanishvili House Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Kvareli side-trips: Alaverdi St. George Cathedral (in Telavi), Qvevri and Qvevri Wine Museum (in Napareuli) and Tsinandali Palace (in Tsinandali). Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sun): take in the spiritual surroundings of Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, get a taste of life in the country at Living Roots Horse Ranch (Lost Ridge Ranch), do a tasting at Pheasant's Tears Winery, then pause for some photo ops at Sculpture "The Doctor on a Donkey", and finally steep yourself in history at Signagi City Walls. Traveling by car from Kvareli to Dedoplistskaro takes 1.5 hours. In August in Dedoplistskaro, expect temperatures between 38°C during the day and 24°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) early enough to drive to Udabno.
