6 days in Kaohsiung, Xiulin & Ji'an Itinerary

You've now added Suzuka Circuit Park to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 19th (Sun): don't miss a visit to The Dome of Light, get a sense of history and politics at Kaohsiung Main Public Library, then head off the coast to Cijin Island, then get your game on at Suzuka Circuit Park, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Circular Line (KLRT). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 20th (Mon): head outdoors with Ai He (Love River), browse the exhibits of The Pier-2 Art Centre, then make a trip to Dragon Tiger Tower, and finally explore the activities along Lianchi (Lotus) Lake.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major aiports are Kaohsiung International Airport, Tainan International Airport / Tainan Air Base and Taichung International Airport / Ching Chuang Kang Air Base. In November, daytime highs in Kaohsiung are 34°C, while nighttime lows are 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can fly to Xiulin.

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Tue): get outside with Su-Hua Highway, Head underground at Cave of Water Curtain, and then hike along Taroko Gorge. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed): hike along Zhuilu Old Trail, hike along Shakadang Trail, appreciate the history behind Eternal Spring Shrine, then stroll through Ch'ing-shui Cliff, and finally walk around Jin Heng Park.

Traveling by flight from Kaohsiung to Xiulin takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) to allow enough time to take a train to Ji'an.

On the 23rd (Thu), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hualian Jian Shrine, get a dose of the wild on Island Life Taiwan Adventures & Experiences, and then kick back and relax at Chishingtan Scenic Area. On the 24th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: shake up your sightseeing with a climbing tour.

You can take a train from Xiulin to Ji'an in 1.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus and train; or drive. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
