Florida’s mecca of fun in the sun, the lively tropical metropolis of Miami is one of the world’s top vacation spots.

Take a break from Miami with a short trip to Shark Valley Visitor Center in Everglades National Park, about 1 hour away. New York City to Miami is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In December, Miami is much warmer than New York City - with highs of 81°F and lows of 68°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Tue) early enough to drive to Wilkesboro.
