Northern Poland travel guide
Northern Poland is characterized by sandy beaches and coastal towns along the Baltic Sea. The three cities of Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia--known as Tricity--line the coast with historical shipyards. The region has seen a lot of change over its long history, passing hands between the Teutonic Order, Hansa merchants, and the Prussians. All these shifts have left a distinct cultural imprint on the region. Explore medieval towns Malbork and Torun, as well as the nature haven in the northeastern part of the province. Full of lakes and rivers, the area is prime for kayaking and outdoor activities.
