On the fringe of greater Vancouver, the city of Richmond has a reputation as one of Canada's greatest melting pots.
Kick off your visit on the 26th (Fri): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at International Buddhist Society (Buddhist Temple) and then browse the different shops at Aberdeen Centre. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Crescent Beach and then see Sea to Sky Marketplace.

Known as "Hollywood North," Vancouver boasts one of the largest film/television industries in the world, second only to Los Angeles and New York.
Escape the urban bustle at Granville Island and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Get a sense of the local culture at Gastown and International Buddhist Society (Buddhist Temple). Change things up with a short trip to Steveston Heritage Fishing Village in Richmond (about 40 minutes away). The adventure continues: walk around Stanley Park, admire the natural beauty at Queen Elizabeth Park, enjoy breathtaking views from Vancouver Lookout, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Granville Island Public Market.
