Fly from Khumbu to Kathmandu in 2.5 hours. September in Kathmandu sees daily highs of 33°C and lows of 22°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) so you can travel to Pokhara.

Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.

Visiting Parasailing & Paragliding and Devi's Fall will get you outdoors. Get a sense of the local culture at Peace Temple and Tushita-Nepal. On the 22nd (Fri), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. You can do a combination of car and flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Kathmandu in October, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Pokhara, with lows of 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to catch the flight to Annapurna Region.

Visiting Annapurna and Valle del Naar will get you outdoors. When in Annapurna Region, make a side trip to see Tilichol Lake in Manang, approximately Manang away.

You can fly from Pokhara to Annapurna Region in 3 hours. In October in Annapurna Region, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 21°C at night. You will leave for Lumbini on the 2nd (Tue).

An important place of Buddhist pilgrimage, Lumbini represents the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.

While traveling from Annapurna Region, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Lumbini, ranging from highs of 34°C to lows of 18°C. You'll set off for Sauraha on the 10th (Wed).

The tourist town of Sauraha stands on the edge of the Chitwan National Park and acts as the eastern gateway to a World Heritage-protected area.

Step out of the city life by going to Chitwan National Park and Elephant Breeding Centre.
