Do your shopping at Chelsea Market and SoHo. Let the collections at 9/11 Memorial and Frick Collection capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting New York City side-trips: Point Pleasant Beach (in Point Pleasant Beach), Mantoloking Beach (in Mantoloking) and Lido Beach (in Lido Beach). There's much more to do: take a stroll through Times Square, examine the collection at Tenement Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and admire the masterpieces at The Met Cloisters.

You can do a combination of flight and ferry from New York City to Toronto in 5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Traveling from New York City in April, things will get slightly colder in Toronto: highs are around 13°C and lows about 3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Wed) so you can travel to Montreal.
