Dolceacqua — 6 nights
Dolceacqua is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 120km southwest of Genoa and about 35km west of Imperia, on the border with France. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Castello dei Doria and Santuario della Nativita di Maria. Do some cultural sightseeing at Centro Storico di Cervo and Centro Storico di Albenga. Venture out of the city with trips to Centro Storico (in Alba), Varigotti (Baia dei Saraceni & Varigotti Beach) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at WiMu - Museo del Vino a Barolo, explore the fascinating underground world of Grotte di Toirano, get to know the fascinating history of Vieille Ville de Vintimille, and steep yourself in history at Fortezza del Priamar.
