Step off the beaten path and head to Rikki Tiki Tavern at Cocoa Beach Pier and Mary Bethune Home. Change things up with these side-trips from Cocoa Beach: Vero Beach (Round Island Beach Park, Shark Bait Beach Gear Rentals, &more), Sebastian Inlet State Park (in Melbourne) and NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (in Merritt Island). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Cocoa Beach, catch a live event at Jackie Robinson Ballpark and Statue, look for gifts at Ron Jon Surf Shop, and observe the fascinating underwater world at Marine Science Center.

Ocala to Cocoa Beach is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of shuttle and bus; or take a bus. Traveling from Ocala in June, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Cocoa Beach, with lows around 76°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Wed) early enough to go by car back home.
