7 days in Kaohsiung, Taichung & Taipei Itinerary

Singapore, Singapore to Kaohsiung is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. In October, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 28°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 15th (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Taichung.

Traveling by train from Kaohsiung to Taichung takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Kaohsiung in October, plan for little chillier nights in Taichung, with lows around 24°C. You'll set off for Taipei on the 16th (Mon).

You'll discover tucked-away gems like Daan Forest Park and National Taiwan University. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Taipei: Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) (in Ruifang), Dongshan (Xinliao Waterfall, Meihua Lake, &more) and Lanyang Museum (in Toucheng). You can take a train from Taichung to Taipei in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. October in Taipei sees daily highs of 32°C and lows of 26°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Fri) so you can catch the flight back home.
