7 days in Lijiang, Dali & Kunming Itinerary

Old Town of Lijiang - China and Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of Lijiang to go to Shangri-La County and see Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia), which is approximately 1h 25 min away. Guangzhou to Lijiang is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Dali.

On the 17th (Tue), don't miss a visit to Dali Foreigner Street and then take a stroll through Dali Ancient. Here are some ideas for day two: take in panoramic vistas at Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple （Northwest Gate）, then explore the galleries of Da Li Shi Kong Guo Shi Museum, and then relax and rejuvenate at Yoga by Lake Life Center.

Traveling by car from Lijiang to Dali takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train; or take a bus. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Wed) so you can catch the flight to Kunming.

Kick off your visit on the 19th (Thu): examine the collection at Yunnan Nationalities Museum and then contemplate the long history of Kunming Golden Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 20th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of Yuantong Temple, contemplate the waterfront views at Green Lake (Cui Hu), and then browse the fresh offerings at Zhuanxin Wet Market.
