Steeped in cultural and historical heritage, Philadelphia is known as the birthplace of U.S. democracy, as it was once the meeting place for the country's Founding Fathers.
You'll explore and learn at Philadelphia Museum of Art and Eastern State Penitentiary. Do your shopping at Reading Terminal Market and Rittenhouse Square. Go for a jaunt from Philadelphia to Valley Forge to see Valley Forge National Historical Park about 34 minutes away. The adventure continues: get a sense of history and politics at Independence Hall, get engrossed in the history at National Constitution Center, get a taste of the local shopping with Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, and steep yourself in history at Christ Church.
