Singapore, Singapore to Taipei is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. When traveling from Singapore in December, plan for colder days and a bit cooler nights in Taipei: temperatures range from 23°C by day to 18°C at night. On the 16th (Fri), you'll travel to Taichung.

Known for its good weather, Taichung boasts an interesting set of cultural attractions, including many temples showing the development of religious architectural styles in the area and forming focal points for most tours of Taichung.

Traveling by train from Taipei to Taichung takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. December in Taichung sees daily highs of 24°C and lows of 15°C at night. You will leave for Ren'ai Township on the 17th (Sat).

Start off your visit on the 17th (Sat): relax in the rural setting at Cingjing Veterans Farm and then browse the different shops at Mist Plaza.

In December, daily temperatures in Ren'ai Township can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) so you can go by car to Taichung.

Start off your visit on the 18th (Sun): look for gifts at Zhongshe Flower Market, get curious at National Museum of Natural Science, stop by Jiguang Electronic Street, then browse the different shops at Yimin Yizhong Shopping Mall, then take in the spiritual surroundings of PaoChueh Temple, and finally buy something for everyone on your list at Taroko Mall.

When in Taipei, make a side trip to see Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) in Ruifang, approximately Ruifang away.
