Canada's southernmost city, Windsor continues to play a key role in the country's automotive industry.

Take a break from the city and head to Point Pelee National Park and Mike Weir Park. Family-friendly places like Stones 'N Bones Museum and Olde Walkerville Neighborhood will thrill your kids. Change things up with these side-trips from Windsor: Deer Lake Beach (in Deer Lake), Uncle Tom's Cabin (in Dresden) and Fort Malden National Historic Site (in Amherstburg). Ottawa to Windsor is an approximately 6-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or take a train. In July in Windsor, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 20°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
