Abu Dhabi — 2 nights

On the 12th (Thu), look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: steep yourself in history at Heritage Village, then go for a walk through The Corniche, then steep yourself in history at Qasr Al Hosn, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Abu Dhabi is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Riyadh in January, things will get somewhat warmer in Abu Dhabi: highs are around 28°C and lows about 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 14th (Sat) to allow time for the car ride to Dubai.

Spend the 19th (Thu) exploring nature at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. You can drive from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and subway; or fly. In January, daytime highs in Dubai are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Thu) so you can fly back home.
