Manama, Bahrain to Baku is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Manama to Baku due to the time zone difference. Plan for cooler temperatures traveling from Manama in March, with highs in Baku at 13°C and lows at 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Gusar.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Mon): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Six-Domed Synagogue, hit the slopes at Shahdag Mountain Resort, then get engrossed in the history at Mountain Jews Museum, and finally walk around Nariman Narimanov Park.

Getting from Baku to Gusar by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 15°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can go by car to Gobustan.

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape (UNESCO Heritage) covers three areas of a plateau of rocky boulders rising out of the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan, with an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of rock art.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Tue): learn more about the world around you at Gobustan State Reserve. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Mud Volcanoes and then make a trip to Diri Baba Mausoleum.
