The City of Eternal Flames, the City of Winds

Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Nizami Street/Torgovaya and Park Bulvar Baku. You'll explore and learn at Gobustan State Reserve and Heydar Aliyev Center. Step out of Baku with an excursion to Mud Volcanoes in Gobustan--about 1h 25 min away. Dedicate the 19th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Baku Old City, shop like a local with Ali Shamsi Studio, delve into the distant past at Ateshgah Fire Temple, and take in the exciting artwork at Museum of Modern Art.
