Drive from Carlsbad to Pacific Beach in 19.5 hours. In April, Pacific Beach is little chillier than Carlsbad - with highs of 57°F and lows of 43°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) so you can go by car to San Diego.
