8 days in Charleston, Savannah & St. Augustine Itinerary

On the 19th (Sun), take in the spiritual surroundings of Congregation Mickve Israel and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Savannah Historic District. Take a train from Charleston to Savannah in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In February, plan for daily highs up to 66°F, and evening lows to 45°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to St. Augustine.

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Inc. and The Old Senator Tree will appeal to history buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum and First Colony. When in St. Augustine, make a side trip to see Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory in Daytona Beach, approximately Daytona Beach away.

You can drive from Savannah to St. Augustine in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Savannah in February, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in St. Augustine, with lows of 51°F. On the 24th (Fri), you'll travel back home.
