8 days in Charleston, Savannah & St. Augustine Itinerary

You can take a train from Charleston to Savannah in 2.5 hours. Another option is to drive. In July, daytime highs in Savannah are 91°F, while nighttime lows are 74°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Wed) to allow time to drive to St. Augustine.

Museum-lovers will get to explore St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Inc. and St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum. Get a sense of the local culture at The Old Senator Tree and First Colony. Step out of St. Augustine to go to Daytona Beach and see Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory, which is approximately 1h 10 min away.

You can drive from Savannah to St. Augustine in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 90°F, and evening lows to 75°F. On the 29th (Sat), you're off to home.
