Denver, USA to Cusco is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You'll lose 2 hours traveling from Denver to Cusco due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Denver, expect a bit cooler days and much colder nights in Cusco, ranging from highs of 70°F to lows of 36°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Machu Picchu.

On the 17th (Wed), contemplate the long history of Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu. On the 18th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

Do a combination of bus and train from Cusco to Machu Picchu in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train; or take a train. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) to allow time to fly to Lima.

On the 19th (Fri), see the interesting displays at Museo de Minerales Andres del Castillo, admire the local landmark of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), and then get engrossed in the history at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas.

Getting from Machu Picchu to Lima by flight takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of taxi and bus. Expect a daytime high around 66°F in August, and nighttime lows around 60°F. You'll have a few hours on the 20th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling home.
