Valley of the Vapors

Start off your visit on the 16th (Fri): appreciate the extensive heritage of Dapper & Debonaire, then immerse yourself in nature at Lake Catherine State Park, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Anthony Chapel. Here are some ideas for day two: engage your brain at Mid-America Science Museum, then see the interesting displays at Tiny Town, then hike along Grand Promenade, and finally learn about winemaking at The Winery of Hot Springs.

San Antonio to Hot Springs is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. While traveling from San Antonio, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Hot Springs, ranging from highs of 88°F to lows of 70°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Eureka Springs.

You'll discover tucked-away gems like St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church and Hobbs State Park. Visiting Beaver Lake and Roaring River State Park will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Pea Ridge National Military Park in Garfield (about 34 minutes away). Drive from Hot Springs to Eureka Springs in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. In June in Eureka Springs, expect temperatures between 84°F during the day and 67°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Branson.
