Lodz, Poland to Kabul is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time (CET) to Afghanistan Time (AFT), which is usually a 3.5 hour difference. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Sun) so you can catch the flight to Herat.

Kick off your visit on the 27th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Herat Citadel, don't miss a visit to Khwaja Abd Allah Ansari Shrine, then stroll the grounds of Gawhar Shad Madrasa and Mausoleum, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Friday Mosque.

Traveling by flight from Kabul to Herat takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In January in Herat, expect temperatures between 14°C during the day and 0°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Mazar-i-Sharif.
