Beirut — 5 nights

Paris of the East
Sitting on the Mediterranean coast, Beirut, the country's capital and largest city, has plenty of appeal itself, as well as offering a convenient base for exploring the country's other sights and cities.Explore Beirut's surroundings by going to Our Lady of Lebanon (in Harissa) and Byblos (Saint Charbel Tomb, Old Souk, &more). There's much more to do: pause for some photo ops at Jeita Grotto, shop like a local with Hamra Street, see the interesting displays at Mim Museum - Mineral Museum, and take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Beirut.

Lebanon travel guide
With a lengthy coastline along the Mediterranean, Lebanon has attracted its share of foreign invaders, from ancient Phoenicians and Egyptians to the medieval Crusaders and Ottoman Turks. Each of these peoples left an indelible mark on the tiny country's cultural heritage, art, religious traditions, and cuisine. Base your Lebanon vacation in Beirut, a cosmopolitan capital known for its cafe culture and European architecture, as well as many museums, parks, and squares.
