Cairo to Luxor is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. When traveling from Cairo in May, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Luxor: temperatures range from 102°F by day to 73°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Fri) so you can catch the flight back home.
