Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.
On the 19th (Sat), spend a fun day on foot with Walking tours. Make the 20th (Sun) an unforgettable day with an extreme tour. There's still lots to do: see the world from above with a helicopter tour, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jamchen Lhakhang Monastery, get out on two wheels at Himalayan Leaders, and take a stroll through Thamel.

Sagarmatha National Park — 3 nights

Dominated by the world's tallest, Sagarmatha National Park is renowned for its carefully preserved natural heritage as well as the cultural and religious importance of its Buddhist monasteries and traditional Sherpa settlements.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Wed): take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Ama Dablam, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt Everest, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Memorial to Scott Fischer. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Taboche and then contemplate the waterfront views at Gokyo Lakes.
