Granada — 2 nights

La Gran Sultana

Escape the urban bustle at Islets of Granada and Apoyo. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Iglesia de Xalteva and Kayaking & Canoeing. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia de La Merced, explore the different monuments and memorials at Cementerio De Granada, steep yourself in history at Old Railway Station, and admire the striking features of Tesoros de Nicaragua - Gourmet & Gift - Shop.

Matagalpa — 2 nights

On the 18th (Sat), examine the collection at El Castillo del cacao, pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral San Juan, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Cascada Santa Emilia. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at National Coffee Museum, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cerro Apante, and then don't miss a visit to Mirador El Calvario.

Start off your visit on the 21st (Tue): find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Juan Venado Island Nature Reserve. Keep things going the next day: pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, pause for some serene contemplation at Church The Recollection, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Calvary Church - Sweet Name of Jesus, and finally stop by Artesania de Leon.
