Koper — 2 nights

A bridge between the Mediterranean and alpine regions of Slovenia, Koper is a small town with big appeal.Popular historic sites such as Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower and Grad Prem are in your itinerary. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Lepa Vida Boutique Winery and St. Anne's Friary. Take a break from Koper with a short trip to Predjama Castle in Postojna, about 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, make a trip to Walls of Piran, get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, and pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Francis of Assisi.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.Get outdoors at Parasailing & Paragliding and Postojna Cave. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Zipline and Old Town Centre of Radovljica. Get out of town with these interesting Ljubljana side-trips: Church of St. Kancijan (in Žirovnica), Bled (St. Martin's Parish Church, Bled Castle, &more) and WoodWay (in Radovljica). Spend the 11th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, snap pictures at Triple Bridge, explore the historical opulence of Ljubljana Castle, and wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town.
