On the 30th (Sat), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Blue Mountain, then get engrossed in the history at Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Buttermilk Falls.

Rochester to Blue Mountain Lake is an approximately 4-hour car ride. Traveling from Rochester in September, expect Blue Mountain Lake to be a bit cooler, temps between 70°F and 41°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Lake Placid.
