Get out of town with these interesting Brisbane side-trips: Warner Bros. Movie World (in Oxenford) and Surfers Paradise Beach (in Surfers Paradise). Traveling by flight from Brisbane to Sydney takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In May in Sydney, expect temperatures between 24°C during the day and 14°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly to Melbourne.
