9 days in Orlando & Tampa Itinerary

For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.

Kids will appreciate attractions like SeaWorld and Universal Orlando Resort. Have a day of magic on the 25th (Mon) at Walt Disney World Resort. Pack the 27th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Next up on the itinerary: make a splash at Discovery Cove, discover the magic at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, get in on the family fun at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, and stroll around Mako.

San Antonio to Orlando is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from San Antonio to Orlando. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from San Antonio in July: highs in Orlando hover around 91°F, while lows dip to 75°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Thu) so you can go by car to Tampa.

Tampa ranks among the country's most livable cities, attracting newcomers with its growing economy and status as a major port on the Gulf of Mexico.
