In north-central Switzerland, Lucerne represents a small city boasting a well-preserved old town.

You can drive from Lucerne to Zermatt in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Geneva.

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.

Start off your visit on the 1st (Mon): contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Geneva and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms. Keep things going the next day: pause for some photo ops at Reformation Wall, then ponder the design of The Geneva Water Fountain, then admire the natural beauty at Jardin Anglais, and finally admire the striking features of Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre.

You can drive from Zermatt to Geneva in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In April in Geneva, expect temperatures between 19°C during the day and 5°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
