In north-central Switzerland, Lucerne represents a small city boasting a well-preserved old town.
Venture out of the city with trips to Zurich (Bahnhofstrasse, Lake Zurich, &more). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Lake Lucerne, identify plant and animal life at Mt Pilatus, pause for some serene contemplation at Hofkirche, and pause for some photo ops at Lion Monument.
