If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiport is Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport. In July, daytime highs in Thessaloniki are 38°C, while nighttime lows are 23°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) so you can go by car to Kalambaka.

Traveling by car from Thessaloniki to Kalambaka takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Thessaloniki in July, Kalambaka is little chillier at night with lows of 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) early enough to drive to Athens.

Get outdoors at Seahorse Dive Center and Mount Lycabettus. Acropolis of Athens and Archaeological Site Mycenae are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with a short trip to Lion Gate in Mycenae (about 1h 30 min away).
